Line

One item line or one tax summary line. Lines carry only what can differ within an invoice. Gross is never sent: it is always net plus VAT. Line vat must add up to the invoice's VAT per rate; where your ERP rounds at invoice level, put the rounding difference on one line.

  • Your id for the line, for example the ERP entry id, or its sequence number. Unique within the document and stable across versions.

  • As printed. Usually negative on a credit note, and negative on a discount line.

  • The line's VAT treatment. Either a VAT IT tax code, or your own tax code as it is in your ERP, where VAT IT keeps the mapping from your codes to VAT IT tax codes for that client. A code with no mapping yet makes the line wait with tax_code_unmapped until VAT IT adds it. See the Tax codes guide.

  • The VAT charged on the line, as printed. Zero when none.

  • Percent, so 23 and not 0.23.

  • Only when this line's goods left from a different country than the document's.

  • Only when this line's goods arrived in a different country than the document's.

  • Only when this line falls under a different registration than the document. Leave it out otherwise.
